Jo Grellier
Town Clerk
I was born and raised locally in Roadwater and moved to Watchet in 2015. Myself and my family enjoy the community spirit of the town. I attended the local West Somerset Community College where I obtained a Distinction in Advanced business studies A-Level. I then went on to work for the Banking industry for 11 years where I progressed to a fully qualified mortgage adviser. I am excited to be part of the Council team, where I can utilise the administration experience I have gained over the years.
As clerical officer, my role is very varied, I am Committee clerk for the Watchet Community Centre Management, the Wednesday Market manager/administrator, administrator for Watchet Cemetery burial authority, and provide administrative support to the Clerk and other members of the team. Following the successful completion of my Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) qualification, I was promoted to Deputy Clerk in April 2022.
