Watchet Town Council has been successful in its bid to the ‘Parish and Town Councils Opening Up Safely and Reconnecting Communities Fund’ devised to financially assist local authorities and the Community to re-open facilities in a COVID – secure way. There is £1,000 available where community groups can apply for a share, they will need to demonstrate the costs involved in re-opening their facilities or events in a COVID secure way. The closing date for applications is 30 November 2021, and the Finance & General Purposes Committee will consider all applications at the December meeting. All applicants will then be informed in writing if they have been successful. Completed forms should be sent to the Town Clerk on [email protected].
