The play areas are owned by the Council and managed and maintained by the Tourism & Leisure Committee.
The play areas are located at the Henry Davey Playing Field, the Liddymore Estate Park and the Memorial Ground Children’s Play Area. Also the Multi Use Games Area and Tennis Courts at the Memorial Grounds.
The Town Council’s ground staff also undertake seasonal planting around the town which keeps the town colourful and vibrant.
MUGA Multi-Use-Games-Area
2020 saw the replacement of our 35 year old MUGA for a new and improved multi-use, all weather surface area with recess goals, multi-games surface markings, basketball hoops, and freestanding netball hoops. The old halogen floodlights were replaced with more energy efficient LED lighting, with key code operation, offering free access to lighting during the winter months.
The MUGA is a facility for everyone in the community to use. If you require exclusive access for training sessions etc we offer a hiring system for just £5.00 per hour.
Tennis Courts
There are two tennis courts located by the entrance to the Memorial ground.
They are open daily and available for all to use. There is no booking requirement for the courts.
