Esplanade Bookings
The Esplanade is owned Somerset West & Taunton Council, however, Watchet Town Council’s Tourism & Leisure Committee manages the event bookings in accordance with the Management Agreement that exits between the two authorities.
The Esplanade is available to be booked for events throughout the year. There are many events held on the Esplanade including the Wheel Barrow Race, West Somerset Brass Band – summer evening concerts, and a week of events in August each year provided by Watchet Summertime including the Annual Council Fun Day!
The Esplanade is free to book. A Booking Form must be completed along with a Risk Assessment. The request is review by the Tourism & Leisure Committee for approval at the Monthly meetings.
Gazebo Hire
Watchet Town Council have 16 x Square Gazebos and 3 x Hexagonal Gazebos available for hire. The price of hire is as follows:
Square Gazebo hire – £7.50 each
Hexagonal Gazebo hire – £10.00 each
Refundable deposit of £50.00 per Gazebo

‘A’ Board & Notice Board Hire
Watchet Town Council own two ‘A’ Boards and a triangular Noticeboard located in prime position on Watchet Esplanade.
The charges are as follows:
‘A’ Boards
- £5.00 each per event (£20.00 deposit required)
Notice Boards
- A4 space for 1 year – £20.00
- A5 space for 1 year – £10.00
