Adverse weather affecting recycling collections: Chard, Dulverton, Wiveliscombe, Watchet and Shepton Mallet
Due to the snow and ice this week, recycling crews have not been able to reach all the households in these areas.
Waste crews will be unable to return for these collections until their next scheduled collection day. If residents still have their boxes, bag, and bin out, they are advised to bring them in until their next collection.
If residents have extra recycling, they are advised to leave this next to their recycling boxes and it will also be collected when crews return.
This affects a relatively small number of residents, (around 300 households) in harder to reach villages in and around: Chard, Dulverton, Wiveliscombe, Watchet and Shepton Mallet.
Updates will be shared on social media, and residents are advised to follow @SomersetWaste for the latest information.
