Sarah Reed - Town Clerk

I moved to West Somerset in 1992 and live in Minehead with my husband and two sons. I was appointed as Responsible Financial Officer to Watchet Town Council in August 2002 and took over the post of Town Clerk in November 2003. Previous to moving to West Somerset I was brought up in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. I attended Bournemouth University from 1984 - 1986 attaining HND in Business Studies Finance Management.

Niall Watson - Groundsperson

Born in Watchet in 1977, educated in Watchet, Williton and Minehead, I attended Cannington College 1994 - 1996 where I gained a National Diploma in Sports Turf and Golf Course Management. I worked for Four Winds Landscapes and Periton Nurseries before being appointed Groundsperson in November 2001. I am responsible for the maintenance of the War Memorial Ground, new cemetery and Henry Davey playing field and maintain the floral displays in the municipal areas around the town. I have been a member of the Watchet Royal British Legion Band since 1988.

Sue Upstone - Clerical Officer

I have lived in Watchet since 1973 and my two children were taught locally. I was born at Old Cleeve Farm and schooled at Washford, Williton and Taunton and then trained at SCAT in 1970 and again in 1999 in administration and secretarial procedures securing posts in education establishments. I took up the post of clerical officer for the Town Council in November 2003 and assist the Clerk in the Council Office where I am also responsible for the administration of the Cemetery.
