Watchet Town Council has adopted a 'Vision' and 'Mission Statement' as detailed below:

VISION STATEMENT
"To protect the individual character and identity of Watchet as a friendly and vibrant harbour town, and provide a safe environment for all who live and work in the town. To continually work in partnership with all sectors of the community to enhance the social and economic well being of the towns' inhabitants, so it is an even better place to live, work and visit"
MISSION STATEMENT
"Watchet Town Council works to constantly improve the quality of life for those who live, work and visit Watchet"

    These statements are linked to how the Council engage with the public which is clearly shown in the Statement of Community Engagement which can be accessed below under the Power of Wellbeing.
    STATEMENT OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
    On Monday 12 April 2010 the Council confirmed its eligibility to use the "Power of Wellbeing" as prescribed in the Local Government Act 2000 Sections 1 - 4A.     WATCHET TOWN COUNCIL

    Based at the Council Chambers in Swain Street, the Watchet Town Council is heavily involved in providing information to the visitor to the town. We also hold surgeries four times a year in the Council Chamber for residents to come in and talk to us; more details on these are given further down the page.

    The Town Council is split into 3 committees, each with various different responsibilities. The council on Tourism and Leisure is dedicated to the promotion of Watchet as a visitor base.
